Video Games, Gamification and VR/AR
Video Games. Gamification and VR//AR
Dr, Sri Murthy
It is a good idea to treat and pursue regular gaming, video games, and VR/AR separately, as these three separate areas have different levels of investments, development times, development budgets per product, or project, in addition to the expertise required. The markets could also be different with examples including leisure games, competitive multiplayer games, massively multiplayer games, educational and job training games in technical product assembly, repair, customer services, sales, and incentive games/gamification.
Pick only one at a time, in the beginning, prove the customer traction, sales, and overall business uptake, before horizontal or vertical expansion.
Over decades of track record in the different vertical specialties, I have rarely and almost never found anyone who understands the game and gamification industry at holistic levels, but their experience exposure only fractional. That is why it is important to seek advice from those who have traveled the roads. Random walk and random unguided business exploration would be futile
